Pi Lambda Theta – Professional Education Honor Society

Pi Lambda Theta is an international honor society and professional association for students and professionals in the field of education. With our selective requirements, our purpose is to recognize individuals of superior scholastic achievement and high potential for professional leadership. PLT is the branch of the Phi Delta Kappa family of organizations which honors excellent scholastic achievement in undergraduate and graduate education programs. Membership will help distinguish you from others in the field, and it offers various opportunities for personal and professional development at the chapter, regional, and international levels of the association.

Locally, the Cleveland Area Chapter holds two fall meetings and two spring meetings to discuss relevant issues facing educators. We have recently addressed topics of autism, grant writing, learning disabilities, bullying, English Language Learners, alternative educational career opportunities, and enhancing interviewing skills.
