The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science offers several scholarships to qualified students intending to major in mathematics, computer science, or teaching mathematics.

Incoming Students

Robert J. Kolesar Scholarship in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science

Named in recognition for the lasting impact on the department by long-serving faculty member and mathematician Robert J. Kolesar, the Kolesar Scholarships are awarded to three incoming students intending to major in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science. The amount of each scholarship is $2,000.聽 Applicants must have already applied and been accepted for admission to 猫咪社区APP to be considered. Scholarship award decisions are made in late February.聽An for admission to 猫咪社区APP is available from the Office of Admission and Financial Aid.

Continuing Students

Brother Raymond F. Schnepp Math Scholarships

Brother Schnepp was born in Chicago in 1896, entered the Society of Mary in 1913, and taught mathematics in Missouri, Louisiana, and Texas for the next 60 years. During this time he stimulated many bright students with his incisive wit, generosity of spirit, and scholarly interest in mathematics and related subjects.

Current students who are majoring or intend to major in mathematics at 猫咪社区APP are eligible to apply for a Schnepp Scholarship. The typical award ranges from $500 to $1000.聽 Awards are made in the spring of each year to apply to the student鈥檚 financial aid package for the following academic year.聽聽Awards are for one year only, but recipients in one year may apply again in subsequent years.
