Classics: Castellano Scholarship
One Full-tuition
This full-tuition, four-year scholarship is available to an incoming first-year student who has studied Latin at the secondary level for at least three years and intends to major in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies at JCU at JCU. Many recipients of the Castellano Scholarship also major in a second field of their choice in addition to Ancient Greek and Roman Studies. In order to retain the scholarship, students must enroll in a Latin or Greek class each semester and maintain a 3.0 average in the major and overall. Choose Ohio First Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to strengthen Ohio’s competitiveness within Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM). ÌýStudents must be Ohio residents intending to major in a STEMM discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Neuroscience) at JCU. ÌýRecipients are required to maintain a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 STEMM GPA each year to renew this award. NSF S-STEM INSPIRED Scholars
Up to $15,000
Students who plan to study science or technology are eligible to apply for INnovation for STEM Pre-Professionals: Identity, Research, and EDucation (INSPIRED) scholarships. These scholarships, funded from the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program, will provide up to $15,000 per year to first-year students with demonstrated financial need and academic promise to succeed in STEM disciplines at JCU. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years for students who continue to meet eligibility requirements. SANUM ScholarsÌý

This scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year students who are Ohio residents, have a FAFSA on file with JCU, and are planning to major in one of the following programs: Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry: Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Physics, Interdisciplinary Physics: Biomedical Physics, Nursing, or Psychology: Neuroscience Concentration. This scholarship is renewable each year as long as the student meets academic criteria. Chicago Alumni Chapter Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an individual from the Chicago area who has proven that they will be a leader while at JCU. To be considered for this scholarship, complete the application in your myJCU Gateway portal by the January 15 deadline.
Thomas M. Tully Family Scholarship
$25,000
The Thomas M. Tully Family Scholarship is awarded to an incoming first-year student from St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, IL. The scholarship is $25,000 per year for four years. A GPA of 2.75 is required for renewal. To be considered for this scholarship, complete the application in your myJCU Gateway portal by the January 15 deadline.

èßäÉçÇøAPP is proud to partner with the Howley Foundation to offer an affordable college experience for low-income (typically full Pell Grant eligible) students who are graduates of Saint Martin de Porres, Benedictine, Villa Angela Saint Joseph, or Saint Joseph Academy high schools. Students should reach out to the designated Howley Foundation alumni coordinator at their high school to apply.Ìý

Andrew "Dewey" McCarthy Scholarship

The Andrew "Dewey" McCarthy Scholarship award recognizes an incoming first-year student who has a demonstrated record of leadership, citizenship, and academic ability andÌýwho hails from an East Coast state. The Andrew McCarthy Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Dewey’s family, friends, teammates, classmates, and co-workers. Since 1983, money has been raised in support of the scholarship, and today the fund is fully endowed. The scholarship has been awarded annually since 1988.
